Hi Loons!
Long time since I've posted here (HI!), but this is one of the first
places I thought to go for advice and expert knowledge seeing all the
flooding and damage today in and around the park. :(
I'm looking for first hand updates or where to follow for updates
(obviously besides the official YNP site) regarding which roads are
damaged or likely damaged and closed for a long length of time...and
which roads might currently be closed but not damaged and might be ok
in late July, when I have our big family road trip planned (first
time back to the Stone since '98!)!
Had planned to stay in Cody-OF-Tetons-Roosevelt-Mammoth and exit
through Beartooth. To me it looks like Roosevelt and Mammoth may
need to be canceled and stay in the southern areas/Tetons instead,
and we would reroute around through Cody to get back up to Billings.
Your thoughts?
Prayers and many sincere best wishes to all those residents and
visitors who may be stranded and affected by this disaster. You have
our complete support and I so wish there was something I could do
from here to be helpful - so if anyone knows of emergency assistance
requests, post that too!
Also..is there a Loon Page on fb now too? I've been very outta the
loop! ;)
