After years of using various models of Canon dome cameras, first on a pine tree and then on the Inn, they couldn't keep the newest one running.

Part of that is the complex digital radio link from the Inn back to the Ranger Station, where a radio receiver inserts the data from the camera into the overloaded communications radio link (the dish next to the Post Office) up to Mount Washburn and then off to "civilization."

They switched to a Bosch camera and had trouble with the settings. It's my understanding that the current settings, complete with lousy color, low image resolution and low frame rate, have kept the live video stream operating for longer than any other previous camera mounted on the Inn.

It would be nice if we could go back to a wired connection to a camera mounted on that swaying pine tree by the old Haynes photo shop building but that ain't gonna happen.
